Not anymore.

Since the Genmar split up and Glastron now being owned by Platinum Equity they have moved Glastron to Michigan.

Four Winns, Glastron and Wellcraft are now all based in Cadillac, MI.

Regardless of who owns them, they still make their boats here.

I don't know of any big boat builders here in Wisconsin BUT right in my county BRP builds all kinds of GREAT outboards and of course Mercury Marine also builds some GREAT outboards up in Fon-Ja-Lac.
Here in Racine we also have Twin-Disk who seem to make some real super duty big transmissions and they also own Arneson surface drives another very cool product.

Bayliner and Scout are two completely different animals

Don't forget the recently deceased SeaPro, Palmetto, and Sea __

Yes, smaller production generally speaking = more $. Less units to spread the cost over.

I'm in northern Indiana and we have had a ton of boats made here, currently there is Bennington, Godfrey, Southbay, Smoker Craft, Starcraft,Rinker, and JC pontoons and we used to have Blue Finn, Chris-Craft, Sea-Nymph, Suncruiser pontoons and I know I am forgetting some but we also make 80% of all the travel trailers and class A motor homes you see all within a 40 mile radious.

My old GE invade was mada around tipton Indaian I believe.

I'm still looking for a "Racine" made boat. Made here in Wisconsin. Not many still around.
