are QL82YC the right plug for 1990 90hp?

my 90 model 90hp seahorse has champs QL82YC in it and i want to know if thay are ther right ones? both My 1978 rude and 76 johnson 115s has QL77JC4's? i figerd that the 90 vro would have the same plugs as the 115s?

The QL82YC is the wrong plug. It has an extended nose on it that could hit the piston.

The correct plug is a QL77JC4 or the QL82C. The QL82C works great on older motors as it does not foul as easily, which was a problem with QL77JC4 plugs.

:eek: no crap. well do you think i would no if it allredy messed it up? i just got the pontoon this 1990 90hp is on and have not looked at the plugs till today. It runs like a dream.it will lay you back on the 24' toon :D. is the the first # in that plug the heat range?

i went to ngk in my 18hp and 25hp johnson's and it made a big difference in start up(pull start). should i go ngks in the 1990 90hp vro?
