What happens to old boat- sit under a tree? I see people looking for "old" parts- are there any old boat salvage/junk yards in bigger cities?

There is one about a mile down the road from me. I am live in the out skirts of the OKC metro area. If I had the space, I would like to go to the salvage yard and pick myself out one of those old "junk" boats. I think it would be a fun project.

Hey vipzach.
Is that one in Choctaw just a place with a lot of old boats or do they part out their old boats.Reason I ask is I haven't found one in this area and am trying to find some seat frames to recover.
I found one in Grove Okla.but don't get up there but 3 to 4 times a year.

I don't know for sure, there are quite a few boats in their fence that are nothing but empty hulls. I will stop buy there and ask or see if I see a phone number. They are on NE 23rd.

I have one in my Garage :p

Hey Vipzach, you wanna have some fun...come over and help me grind some fiberglass in 100 heat while everyone else is on the water! Just kidding of course, I too see tons of old broken boats behind the barbed wire and you have to ask yourself whazzup. When you stop to inquire some pitbull sales guy is chomping at the bit for the next unsuspecting buyer! Rehab or Refuse that's the ticket.

Lets wait till its a little cooler! Then I could come practice on your project instead of tearing mine up a couple of times.;) If Atlanta wasn't so far, I think it would be fun. Sometime, I will go find one and try to restore it myself!
