Are these mushrooms I found in my backyard morels?

Had family over for Mother's Day. My sister-in-law brings a mushroom over to me and says "this looks like a morel" I took a look where she found it and found two more.

Taking a look online, they sure look like yellow morels-- they are completely hollow, like true morels should be. I've had morels in a restaurant before and they were really good. But the only mushrooms I ever ate were bought from a store or a restaurant. Kinda scared to try these...

For liability's sake, I won't tell you they are morels.

If I found them in my back yard, they'd be buttered and over a grilled sirloin in no time flat.

OK, I cooked them up in a little butter and ate them. Delicious! Wait, getting dizzy...room spinning...everything going blacklllkjlhsdfj;klasdfjassaddddddddddddddhjkkkkkkkkkkkkklhg

LOL. Seriously, have not eaten them yet but I think I just might cook em up tomorrow. Wife says they're all mine, she won't have anything to do with them. Took a look around all over the backyard but could only find those three. :(

Those are definitely morels. I've eaten hundreds of them.

They like to grow under dead or dying trees. Back when the elms all died around here, they could be found by the bushel. Now they're pretty scarce.

The only thing close to them in appearance are pretty ugly, looking more like brains, and they are not hollow.

I have found lots of morels after a forest fires, I guess the heat releases the spores, did they have a smokey flavour at all???

You know, if you have to ask... Unless you are an expert and are 100% sure, do not eat mushrooms.

Nice find:)

Clean them, soak them in saltwater overnight, buy a nice steak, add butter and a grill and you're in heaven.

We find them around here in shady spots on hills/ravines in the forest;)

If I wasn't so busy with this boat project I'd be hiking around looking for some this time of year myself.

I never find them. I've looked and found just a few, usually I can smell them if I get close or smell decaying matter that they like maybe?

Wonder if I could train my dog to find them, oh wait unless it's dog chow and in a stainless bowl on the floor she can't find anything lol.

I was helping my friend put in a septic tank & dry well on a wooded lot today.
And i found about 25 of these mushrooms.
I didn't pick them because I don't eat wild growing things . :)

As a kid, my Granddad & I walked through forests for hours hunting those elusive things. Used to come home with bread bags full of them. Don't get any better than Morels.

You need to FEDEX those to me immediately. I will cook them in butter, eat them, and then report back to you on whether they're morels or not. Thank you for your attention! :D

I'm far from an expert on them but thought that morrells were hollow?
