Looks like most of your stats are heavily stacked against illegals. It's called a spin and is so obvious it makes the writer look like a fool and totally unbelievable. A source needs to be printed along with that.

My sense is that if there no source cited, and no date given it is:

1 Not from the LA Times, or any other reputable publication.

2. Probably not true, and certainly not verifiable.

In order to take effective corrective action, you need to have accurate data to begin with...

Unless your goal is simply to whine and complain, in which case any old made up data will do!
