Why in the he$! would the United States allow a country that is considered to be "a haven for terrorist" to bring a floating bomb into Boston Harbor. I'm not the brightest guy in the world, but I don't get it!

Haha, at least I'm not the only one who heard about that and thought how insanely stupid that sounded, with he whole terror paranoia and all. To be fair, how many places can you really hide a bomb or a suicidal maniac on a boat the size of six footballs fields?

It's almost comical I have to remove my shoes to enter a courthouse, but a hostile country can drive a massive LNG tanker into Boston Harbor.

That is amazing. If enough people get interested, it could be stopped. Right, wrong, or indifferent, LNG ships and terminals have been stopped by several harbors here in Ca. Good luck.

Very similar scenario in 1917 in Halifax, Nova Scotia when a munitions ship headed for the WW1 battlefields of Europe caught fire and exploded right in front of the Halifax docks and pretty much destroyed Halifax and it's harbor! Google up: Halifax Explosion for some great reading and history. This LNG ship could do just what Osama Bin Laden is wanting to do! Kind of a scary idea to me!
