So I go in to get a price on some parts (impeller, carb rebuild kit and possibly H2O pump rebuild kit). They couldn't find any parts for it in thier computer system. Said it was too old, after making me wait 20 minutes or so while they attempted to look it up.

I hope it was just user error (she didn't seem to know what she was doing).

My motor is a '67 60 HP sportfour Evinrude.

I have just ordered the OMC service manual as well as found a second motor on E-bay for dirt cheap!

Can't wait for spring...

Cheers!

Carb kits should be no problem to order off the web.Post your engine serial numbers and i'm sure they can be found.

I have found the impeller online (did not have the part # with me). Going to pick up the second '67 SportFour 60HP on Saturday.

Will post the serial #'s of both of them.

Still need to get a boat cover that doesn't have holes in it, or the garage cleared out so it can go inside.

Cheers!

Service manuals are a must, but almost as valuable is a parts list for your motor. Go to the dealer armed with the part numbers and see how their attitude changes when all they have to do is pull the part off the shelf and make out the bill.
