Whats the scoop on buying boat, trailer, and motor from guy in Arkansas then bringing it to Texas?<br />Does AR have titles for all the above? What kind of paperwork is ness?<br />Mabey someone from the area can steer me to a website concerning this.

All you have to do is register your boat and trailer in Texas. The other state doesn't matter anymore since its being transferred to your home state.

Go to your local courthouse, they will have a book showing what Arkansaw requires so you will know what you should get from the seller. I recently bought a boat in TN. and when I went to register it in KY. had problems because TN. is a non title state. Ended up taking about two weeks to get the paperwork straight. What I needed and didn't get was a copy of the previous owners registration.

In Arkansas boat ownership is transferred by signing the area on the back of the boat registration form. There are no titles for boats here. But there are titles for boat trailers. So if a trailer is involved you should get a signed title to it and a signed registration slip for the boat.<br /><br />Hope this helps
