When the son of the founder of Tracker Boats gets enthused about a special segment of recreational fishing, you can bet his influence on his dad and the R&D folks will result in a great product. John Paul Morris is "into" bow fishing with a passion. He thoroughly enjoys it and is very good at it.
In response to the explosive growth of the sport, Tracker Boats has introduced its 2014 Bow Fishing boat from its Grizzly line; the 1860 CC. This boat handles well and doesn't even notice the weight of the shooting platform for flat out running. She'll do in the low 40's (MPH) with one person on board and full fuel load. It's very stable and takes waves from other boats or snotty weather very well.

For durability and rigidity, this 19' 8" center console aluminum Mod V jon boat uses all-welded construction with aluminum transom, floor and decks. Specific to the boat fishing sport, it has a full-width elevated shooting deck forward.

An entry/safety gate finishes the platform's secure rail system (like on pontoon boats). A special rack on the rail next to the gate can hold two bows, has two drink holders and a molded-in tray for accessories. When you're running, the foot-controlled trolling motor is secure and hidden below the shooting deck but is easy to access and deploy when you're on the fish. Underneath the shooting platform are seven, very, very bright (5,000 lumens) 12v LED lights. LED keeps the electrical power draw to a minimum so you can fish longer, use a quieter generator to keep your batteries charged and give you phenomenal amounts of light.

(the LED lights are not yellow as they appear in the above images, they are very white. Lights were filtered for/by the camera)
The lights provide excellent illumination in the water and the surroundings, without night-blinding the shooters. A camo-painted Honda 2000-watt generator helps power the lights and comes as part of the standard bow fishing boat package.
The elevated platform, fore and aft decks are covered with cushioned, camo, ribbed, rubber deck mats. The bow deck has an integrated storage drawer and an aerated live well. The drawer makes a great spot for cell phones, wallets, etc. and keeps them dry.

There's extra deck mount locations for more pedestal seats throughout. The aluminum center console has a good sized windscreen and safety grab bar. At the front of the console are hold-downs for easily securing fish containers (aka big plastic pails). There are vertical rod holders on the side of the console and also horizontal rod holders on the boat's starboard side. There's storage in the console with a courtesy light. More storage is in the forward center compartment.
For off season storage or other boating uses, the shooting deck is easily removable. Four retractable ratchet-style straps securely hold the sturdy platform to the gunnels. Being able to quickly and easily add or remove the shooting deck definitely makes this an all-purpose boat.
The weight of the bow fishing platform ads to the speed with which the boat gets on plane as do the innovative "sponsons" at the transom. They've been on select models of other Grizzly boats from Tracker and truly add to the boat's performance. They are sealed aluminum with drain plugs. There are rubber pads on the top so they can easily be used as entry steps by swimmers or your favorite four-legged hunting and fishing partner. Under way, they add to the boat's stability.

Some people will say this boat can haul a "ton of stuff". Well, they're close; it has a 1,700lb load capacity. This boat is great for bow fishing and can easily be used for utility, general boating, rod & reel fishing, water fowl hunting or just about anything that needs a stable, durable, beamy aluminum boat.
