As promised, here are some pictures (hopefully).

Anchor winch, it works!

The gauges are easier to read in person, though I would like to replace the plexi to make it look fresher.

A little wire brush and Mercruiser black ought to do the trick

The drive is in pretty good shape, interesting wear on the back side of the skeg...bad prop? Sand erosion?

I second the nomination. Dues paid up. The skeg does have an interesting look. I wonder if that's electrolysis? Saltwater boat?

All in all, a good looking tinny.

on your plexi---try the same approach used for redoing hazed plastic headlights on cars: wet sand with 1500 grit, then 2000. then use a buffer and some 3M Finesse-it or similar polishing compound. you'll be amazed what you can do in 1/2 hr. you'll obv get better job if you remove the plexi first but if you're careful with buffer, it can be done with it in place. i sometimes use blue masking tape to protect around where i'm buffing, or blue tape with a layer of duct tape on top if i'm really nervous about what i'm working around.

That skeg is a bit chewed up back there..Good news, wont have one bit of difference in performance.
A file/grinder and black merc paint and your good.

I was thinking she drifted into a bunch of rocks, or backed into rocks while launching..who knows..

Barato, I gave your recommendation on the plexi a shot, the plexi does look better but the guages are still tough to read. I guess it's not the plexi after all, some new guages ought to help, maybe I'll just wire up a whole new dash.
