Well, I hope I got all my stupidity out on the first time out this year...

Mid April: Dewinterized. Hooked up garden hose, started motor, life was grand.

End of April: Freeze warning for the Central Ohio area. Pulled block and manifold drains and tilted motor to get all the water out (only good thing about a Stringer... I can tilt the whole engine)

Begnning of May: 85 Degrees and sunny. Drag boat to ramp. Launched boat, started engine. Engine sounded terrible! Like a dragster at the starting line.

It would have sounded better had I put the manifold/block drains back in the motor!

No damage to report, other than to my ego! Glad no one was around when I pulled that one!

That's funny. I can see how that can happen very easily. :D

Some people pay big bucks to get that loud rumbling sound from their exhaust systems ;)

Well, the good news is I know that my seawater pump is working well... as shown by the massive amount of water that ended up in my bilge!

What's worse is, I lifted the cover and did a 'sniff test' and never saw the plugs laying on the intake manifold. I think I need new glasses.
