Hello i have a new boat and am leaning towards putting it in lake Allatoona. My orginal idea was to trailer it in and out every time i use it and store it on land near the lake. As I think more I dont think this boat was made for trailering on a regular basis. Its a 25' cabin cruiser. Lake Lainer is too low in my opinion, so that is pretty much out of the question. I want to keep it in the lake or "dry stack." Where does everyone keep their boat on the Lake. I called "park marina" on Allatoona and they quoted me $320 a month!!! I nearly fell out of my chair! Thats ridiculous! Can you tell me how much you pay on lake Allatoona and where you keep it at. Thanks

If you need any info about Lake Lanier let me know. We keep our cruiser at Bald Ridge Marina. Even though the water is low, it's has been a very nice year. Nobody is going out so traffic has been very light which is not a bad thing. There are 104 boat ramps on the lake and only 3 of them are open (due to lake levels), so most of the trailer boaters are SOL.

Thanks BPMC ill check those out ;)

Great Escape, my boat looks similar to yours. How much do you pay a month and does it stay there the whole year?

Our boat stays there all year. We boat year round and now is the time when it's the best, no lake traffic, smooth water and quiet. We live about 4 miles from the marina so it is convenient. Pricing is similar to what you were quoted at Allatoona. Your not going to get a deal in this neck of the woods. There is too much money in the Atlanta area and it's all about supply and demand when it comes to slip prices. The further north you go on Lake Lanier you might get to $275 a month but that's about it.

Here at Lake Wylie just south of Charlotte the price for dry storage is $100 to $125 per foot at my marina and they only handle up to 23' boats in the dry storage. A wet slip for your boat would go for $2500 per year.

The price they gave you doesn't sound bad for a lake close to Atlanta.

Here on Lake Wylie there aren't any marinas set up to handle a boat as big and heavy as yours so people with those type of boats use wet slips.

We tow our 24' deck boat in and out. I keep it at Red Top Mountain Storage at the corner of Glade Road and New Hope Church Road. From there, you are anywhere from 1-4 miles from several ramps. The downside is, this time of year when the lake is let down; most, if not all, the ramps are closed.
