Re: auto bilge

the fuse size is dependent on the size of the bilge pump.

Re: auto bilge

A little over is fine in this case. You're protecting the wiring, not the pump.

Re: auto bilge

what about the spark arrester.....does it need to be cleaned out?
Yup,keep it clean,I see to many that are plugged with fuzzy stuff, and oil. The motor has to get air, just like a car needs a clean filter.

Re: auto bilge

Rasbury, You are correct, I don't understand. Boats are supposed to be in the water, and as such get water in them from lots of places. Rain is one of them, spray is another, wet feet a third.

I recomend you sell it before vacation, and avoid the whole issue.....How much fun can you have with a boat that you do not want to get wet?

Re: auto bilge

worked just fine, only rained heavy one night and the boat was pumped out fine in the am and no issue starting which was a big concern...middle of no where. If I keep the boat I will do two batteries with a switch and I think I'll do something different with the carpeting on the floor....looks nice but to much of a pain. I wonder if you can do a spray in bed linter material on it? I did a vehicle for a hospital like a mini van. It was for folks that could not control them well selves...anyway, they wanted to seal everything off so I did that, sprayed it right over the carpet and it worked out fine!
