The Amish also don't get credit for what supposedly is a new Graduation Prom trend....the stretch limo.

Re: auto drifting origin revealed

Seriously, I never understood how anyone ever thought drifting was invented anywhere but right here in the USA. I was doing it 45+ years ago and learned it from the older guys.

"Drifting" was invented in Germany about 30 seconds after Otto Benz invented the gasoline powered automobile in the 1880's, the first time he came to a curve in the dirt road!

Hard to see how anyone could imagine drifting being invented in the US when they were driving and racing cars in Europe years before they were over here.

And, this is different than dirt track stock car racing, how?
Drifters are race car wannabes.

BTW, Love the Mermaid in the 'photoshopped?' pic.

Re: auto drifting origin revealed

An Amish lady is trotting down the road with her horse and buggy when a cop pulls her over.
'Ma'am', says the officer, 'I'm not going to give you a ticket this time, but I do have to issue you a warning. You have a broken reflector on your buggy'.
'Oh, I'll let my husband Jacob know just as soon as I get home.'
'That's fine. Another thing Ma'am, I don't like the way that one rein loops across the horse's back and around his private parts. I consider that animal cruelty. Make sure your husband takes care of that right away!'
Later that day, the lady is telling her husband about her encounter with the cop.
'Well dear', says Jacob, 'what exactly did he say'?
'He said the reflector is broken''
?I can fix that in two minutes. What else?'

'I'm not sure Jacob, something about the emergency brake.
