fairlaneman, the information is not shared quite that freely! Do you have you house lined with tin foil, too???? :)
No but I never have trusted the cable company since they went to fiber optics. For all we know they have a secret camera inside of tv sets that let THEM WATCH YOU. Its not that crazy of an idea.I just learned that any time you leave your cell phone on they can know where you are.

Well... That's been pretty much true since there were cell phones. Now they have GPS: but before that they could calculate where you were based on your signal strength/direction and even better with 3 cell towers. Or by the hand-offs between towers.

The question is: so what if they do?

Your answer told me everything I needed to know, thanks. You have a nice day waiting for the Reynolds truck to arrive! :)

I do not have a tinfoil hat :D

BUT in NY everything is feely shared and has been for a LONG time, I was rear-ended in a company truck which caused my personal insurance company to try and raise my rates and it took a long battle because the police report was vague about blame even when being hit while stoping for a red light

In fact if you get a traffic ticket in NY, NJ or Conn and beyond it will find its way to you carrier
