If it's working for you...I suspect why.... iBoats did this a few years ago. They blocked Australia, because we use the same first octet of the IP address block as China, and they were having trouble with DOS attacks...

So would it be safe to say that provide I use a marine grime cam(I have a shop locally that some on shelf, he priced one to me at 75) I run marine exhaust manifolds, it should work out ok? Then ar long as I can find/run marine distributor, alternator,, and fuel system I should be good to go???

That's not a complete list of the externals, like the starter for instance, but yes, you have the right idea. Do you have a blown / damaged engine you are replacing? Or are you starting from scratch?

To make a long story short ......... yes. Took it out Saturday San half a lap, then all of a sudden dropped 1000 r p n , sounded like it was being help back, then started knocking , rattling, then squeaking both from top and bottom end..... I think she spun a bearing.....

So I do have a marine starter, fuel pump, alternator, but only a 2 barrel carb....

With all this talk of marine distributors... it sounds like you already have one of those as well. Unless the current engine in the boat is not marine.

I will put this way.... I do have one but it will not work for the v8.... just like I will have to find me a different carb...... the distributor is my biggest hang up
