Re: Automotive Paint??

I would use SEM Rattle can paint for the motor. Really good stuff.

Re: Automotive Paint??

Is there anything wrong with using the rusto rattle cans for I am on a small budget and just want to restore the color back to it as it originally was. And is there anyway to shine and buff it back to is color

Re: Automotive Paint??

Can this Rustoleum with the hardener be used for other things such as plastic. I am redoing an old Bass Tracker 17 and the console top is plastic that is very cracked and I thought I could use JB Weld on it, sand it and then paint it with something and also the plastic rims for the hatches and livewell doors. I am also looking for an inexpensive way to make these things look better.

great job ezmobee on the hood, if all of the original paint is on the hood and the lower unit do i still need to prime it? like i said earlier its all there just losts its color. and tonight i got alot done, i got almost everything masked off with news paper and painters tape that does not need painted and i got the windshield pulled off and tomorrow i hope to lightly sand away any loose paint and prime it once i get it flipped over on to some saw horses.

Re: Automotive Paint??

I would prime it. I had the same idea as you with my boat and didn't prime. Paint is falling off.

Feel free to start a new thread for your restoration calling it 1961 Feathercraft Restoration or something like that.
