I bought a boat in Feb.and finally got her out on the weekend. It has a raymarine autopilot and at trolling speed it wanders bad from side to side.Any ideas what I can do to minimize this problem? Thanks in advance for any info.

what kind of boat and motor package. if it is a deep v hull, and trolling, it is the nature of the hull to wander from side to side. if you can figure out how to stop it, the boat manufacturers will be all over you for the cure.

Re: Autopilot wanders???

get out your owners manual and find out how to calibrate the unit.

you most likely will need to take the boat out to sea to do it.
because the calibration usually requires running the boat in wide circles and running at different set paths (make sure to have a working compass on board)

the unit will tell you the margin of error (i.e. plus or minus 10 degrees)
you may have to calibrate several times to get this margin down as low as possible.
