Complete Mercruiser 140 motor from a 1993 Bayliner. Block has been carefully repaired with JB Weld. I have another identical engine that is disassembled without any JB Weld needed for the same price. $400.00

My Merc 140 has been running for four years on a JB Weld repair. The place they crack when they take freeze damage is easy to access and a good JB Weld can keep it running for a very long time!

My OMC 4.3L has been running for 4 years with JB weld. Not one issue. That stuff is amazing.

I helped a buddy repair a 200 Suzi. Mains came loose after previous dealer rebuild and the block cracked. We torqued everything to spec then he had the block "stitched", quick surface grind and a patch of JB. It held for years. As far as I know it did not fail.
Back to the OP. I do love those adds were the detail upgrades like "new skeg" or "Modified carb and one new piston"

I had a 1982 Johnson 175 that blew a head gasket, took out part of the cyl wall at the top. even blew a hole through the block. JB welded everything up put on a new head gasket. Ran great 2 years then I sold it to buy a newer boat. Actually it is still running, they guy that bought it lives a few blocks away. The newer boat I bought is broken, that's why I'm here today.

My last boat leaked water out of both manifolds, pulled them, grinded away at the leak and found past freeze damage that had been brazed badly. Cleared out the brazing and heated the manifold with a torch until they were nice and hot, then spread in JB. The heat makes the JB flow like water and fill the cracks. Never had a leak again :)
