Scenario : It's a Four Winns Sundowner 210 Cuddy powered by a 2 stroke 150 EFI Merc OB. Searched the net for the boat's tech specs but couldn't find any as to check if needs a XL or a XXL shaft OB. As of now the OB splashes too much water out transom (pic 5) you could surf there, has a crappy water performance, too much lower leg drag which traduces is guzzling too much fuel which is economically unproductive. Has someone a clue to which shaft length is the right size for this application ?
There are only 2 more notches to rise the OB fully up, but I'm sure that will still splash gallons of water back transom. Which manual transom riser brand/model would you guys recommend for this application as to test the OB at different transom heights ? The new owner which knows nothing about boating was literally screwed by previous owner which was not content whatsoever with its real bad water performance so was a must get rid of it, what find funny is the previous owner was screwed at same time by the OB Merc dealer selling and installing a left over old Merc OB model...
