B75 - Parts Availability?

I recently become the owner of a B75. It starts the first pull and idles well, but I wanted to replace the impeller before taking it out on the water. However I read in this thread that this impeller does not fit the B75, only the BF75. Is this correct? Can I no longer purchase an impeller for this motor?

Ser# B75-401084

Am I correct in assuming this is a 1976-1979 motor?

And thank you all for this forum. It's been helpful.

Well I called iboats.com and they called Sierra (the manufacturer of the impeller) who said the above impeller is the right one for the B75. I'll have it in about nine days -- will update after that.

Re: B75 - Parts Availability?

The impeller does not fit. It appears to be physically the same size, but the B75 requires an impeller that slides over a round shaft and has a key way. The part I received slides over a shaft with a flat side.

Anyone know where I can get a B75 impeller?

If not does anyone know if the BF75 lower drive shaft is interchangeable with the B75?

Try redwood marine .com.They have a backstock of those old keyed impellers that they would love to unload.
