"Back" arrow not working...

Windows XP. Hit the arrow to go to the previous page and it stays on the page I was currently viewing. Only happening on this forum.....

Chrome...... sorry. It seems like it refreshes the screen when I click the arrow. Sometimes it does work after 3 tries. Sometimes not...

We've been aware of this issue with Internet Explorer, not chrome. I'll check it out. Do you have an ad blocker ?

Was it turned on when you had this problem? Can you right click your back button when it happens again and tell me what items are listed.

yes, at least as far as i know. I downloaded software "a while" back from the recommendation by a member(I think Summer Fun. Maybe he can jog my memory) when we were having a bunch of pop up issues. Don't remember what the software was, or, how I can check the status. But, I've never turned it off, at least not on purpose...

EDIT: I'm thinking adblock plus for Chrome.....

Have you cleared the cache files lately? I know if I don't do that occasionally, all sorts of strange things happen.

This was happening to me yesterday and the day before as well in Chrome. I switched to FireFox yesterday and it was fine. Today it's fine in Chrome. Clicking the back button would take me to the top of the current page. If I long-clicked the back button and the list of previous pages came up, there would be like 4 or 5 entries for the current page. Again, today it's fine.

Tried it, didn't help...... Appears to be the same issue as ezmobee had yesterday. I believe I had this problem yesterday too. Wasn't on the computer much and didn't pay much attention to it...

Edit: Tried rebooting, nothing.......

Can you right click your back button and tell me what items are listed? This will help determine the cause. Something is trying to load after you load this page.

You can also look at your recent history.

Not sure why it's all blurry.... Maybe because I increased the size in paint....

So just to confirm, the back arrow wasn't working when you took this screen shot? Right? If so, that's going to be even trickier to figure out then I thought.

Do you use AdBlock Plus? I found something on their website that they had an issue with previous versions doing this exact thing.
