back up pull starts

do all the engine , manufacture have backup pull starts in case the battery`s dead. I have it on my 90 honda nice to have. My 15 suzuki doesn`t even have a back pull pull start. I will be buying a 25 hp this winter I just to make sure it has a backup way to start the engine thanks

Are you sure that 15hp doesn't have a place on the flywheel to attach a pullcord?
Can't remember how many turns to make,maybe 3.
I know you don't want to many because when she starts you don't want the rope/handle spinning around smacking ya.

I have an older Evinrude 50 that has a place to pull start, I have doen it once or twice and it is no fun but it is nice to have.

I woudl imagine most smaller engines have that.

There is no way To put a rope on the flywheel . On the 15hp suzuki. I`ll try to find the manual maybe I`am wrong . I would never buy another engine with out a back up way to start the motor. Does yamaha and mercury have it on there motors. thanks for answering
