hello! having an issue with the boat while under load. it idles fine, you can advance the throttle to WO while not in gear, she screems and smokes excellent. But as soon as you put a load on it in the water, it bogs down like its starved for fuel. i have resolved all fuel issues. today i took the CDI off and found these "holes" in the back. are these indicative of a blow out? i assume these are not supposed to be there? i will be checking the o2 sensor also Unknown.jpeg

a motor can rev up with no load fine, but it needs more fuel to run properly under load.
I would still be working on you fuel problem

does the rail pressure stay in spec when the problem is happening?
have you had the injectors cleaned and tested?

i have not pulled the injectors just yet every thing "should be new"

the only thing I have not checked or cleaned is the VST filter. my concern with this is that if it were clogged, why would it rev great while not in gear as if there are no fuel restrictions?

i have yet to have the mecanic come to check the fuel preassures at the VST what should they be?

so i just pulled the o2,

I am getting 11 ohms on the heating element white to white.

"flame test" voltage jumps up above .6-up to over .8 then back down to zero.

there was decent amount of carbon inside the housing. cleaned that all up. will just buying a new o2 for decent measure.

one thing i would like to note is that this engine is in a "break in" peroid so the oil is running a little rich due to this. the "new" PH has 7 hours logged on the tach.
I give it WOT while in gear i get nothing, no decent out put power from the prop while on the water, its is only enough power to get me back to the dock. I advance the throttle while not in gear, thing works great.

i am torn between CDI, O2 or VST filter

if the rail pressure is not in spec, the motor willnot be getting the proper fuel under a load.
check to make sure what the rail pressure is

alright there was a bad low pressure pump. replaced that today with a new VST filter. cleaned the O2 sensor.

still i get nothing. throttle while under load, no power.

should i just replace the CDI at this point? what other options are there?

when i go full throttle in gear, zero response from the motor

can some one help me?
