The wood in the transom is rotted, needs replacing before you lose the engine. Nothing on the outside will fix the inside unfortunately.
Drill some holes and inspect the drill chips, you'll find black mush for sure.

Hello bedrock..

Hmm.. I dunno about a rotted trans yet..

Your pics dont really show bad wood at the hole locations ( that I see ).

DID you inspect the trans for rot yet ?

Take a small 1" hole saw ( with the center bit slightly deeper then the teeth ) and core JUST THE FIBERGLASS then inspect your plywood under that.

Also.. take a pick and poke your wood in those holes that are shown..are they mushy rotted wood ?

Keep posting m8.

YD.

If she were mine..... I would go ahead bonding and glassing your new transom. Do your repairs afterword. To me....looks like stress fractures from previous motor. See what others say!

there is no wood rot left .i took it all out was waiting to what to do with this before i glass the transom in . the motor trim & tilt did this . thought about grinding it out then peanut butter in it then a small metal plate over it just to make me & family safe . and i can keep my 150hp Merck on the boat and off of the lakes bottom .

You work FAST.!
Most guys would agonize over it for a week.

The outter glass broke inward because the rotted wood comopressed under pressure, just push it back out flush again and make sure you get plenty of resin and a layer of cloth around that area and clamp the new wood against the glass.
Clamp it with 2x4's inside and out with thru bolts. See pics.

Ya know.. I/We try to HELP peeps out.. You seem well on your way. Why would you ask for help when its not needed m8 ? Its like asking a dental forum if you should get a root canal and then tell us that you allready had it after we give you our info.

Can I ask this thread closed please..

Unless I missed something.. PO'd YD.
