So I was running my motor in the drum today and it started running like crap, just like it did when I took it out in the water. so i got my timing light and found no spark on bottom cylinder, I switched wires on the power pack beetween the 2nd and 3rd coils and the 3rd coil began firing:eek:, the 2nd one quit so I now bottom coil is good Im thinking power pack what do you guys think? its a 1975 70hp evinrude 70573e

Go to CDI Electronics.com. They have good troubleshooting procedures.
