I'm looking to get an electric winch for my 2005 21' rinker. I used to manually crank it up but after the last trip to the doctor I'm in BIG need to NOT manually crank it up. 2 torn rotator cuff ligaments. the boat is around 3500lbs dry on a bunk system with the plastic slippery slides. any info will help my decision. I have found one for about $200 for boats up to 24', and is there anything I need to do for the electric, I have a outlet in the trucks bed for things like this but not sure if it's up for it. thanks guys!

Re: bad pull

Mount a batt on the trailer and if you don't already have a 7 pin tlr plug, convert it and use the charge wire to keep batt charged.

Re: bad pull

is the center prong the power to use for charging? I have the 7 wire plug from the truck but it uses only 5, ground, 2 signals, running and the brake solenoid for backing up.

Re: bad pull

Get a powerwinch 712, they come with wiring back to your car battery & a circuit breaker.
Max boat weight 7500 lbs and 14 feet per minute retrieve speed.

You may have to go up to a 912, your call it depends on how slippery the trailer is.
