I own a 1987 20.5' Bayliner w/ 1987 125hp Force, the tach seems to works fine while boat is in idlebut once I get her out and open it up the tach will NOT go above 2,000. I read that the 2,000 point is a transition period for a voltage increase from the regulator, I need help if anyone has seen this by the way compression is 145 in all 4 cyl. and WOT speed is 31mph w/ 17" prop(playing safe w/17" cause i can't verify rpms). I do want to go back to a 15" like it had before but I don't want to blow her up either.
