Yes, jack the front of the pontoon as high as it will go with the trailer jack and remove the bottom rear plugs. The tubes on the top of the logs are for venting purposes. The logs will expand and contract depending on temperature. Such as dunking the pontoon on a warm day into cold water or just seasonal temperature changes.

Re: Baffled...

Pulled the plugs out of each log this morning, right side had about 3 to 5 gallons of water in it The left side had I would say between 5&10 gallons in it ( not thinking, or I would have measured it. Even going on the high side if 15 gallons of water this added about 125 extra pounds. Don't think this was or is my problem, but sure it may have contributed to it. If it warms up a bit gonna put it on the lake and see. Then gonna take the prop off and. Strip the paint off to look again for a number.
We really appreciate all the help from this forum with trying to help us through this dilemma. Will post a follow up later

Make sure you seal up the drain plugs good when you reinstall them. If you continue to get water in the logs, take it to a shop that can pressurize them to find the leaks. Then have the leaks repaired by welding. Common points for leaks are where the brackets from the deck structure attach to the logs, as well as the seams on the bottom of the logs..
