Hi Hooty, I'm familiar with epoxy too, I've been using it for years for many purposes and trust it completely. I've also used polyurethanes and found them to be extremely good, in many cases as strong as epoxy, but I've never used then for boatbuilding hence my question.<br />This particular one, Balcotan, is formulated specially for boatbuilding according to the manufacturer and distributer, and the tech specs certainly look good.<br />My boat is all wood, so it's wood to wood joints that I'd be gluing. My next job is to apply a 1/8" hardwood veneer deck over the marine ply base, I'm thinking I may try it there as it's not really a structural joint and won't be subject to much stress, it's also a very large surface area of several square yards, meaning lots of glue.
