Yes, but we already know how to do a deepwater slalom start, and we didn't have a wet suit.

Here is a pretty cool video for those interested. Note his ski does not have any bindings.

And getting ready for New Years Day ?

I still remember that gorgeous boat of yours.
I was afraid to touch it.
Haven't skied New Years in quite a few years. It's a ton of work, and I'm lazy. :p

Just put all new interior in that boat last fall and new tunes. Skiing less and cruising more these days. Thanks for the reminder I haven't taken any pics of it on the water with the new threads. I found an upholstery place near the cabin that did nice work. I installed all their work to save some labor. I put all the stereo stuff back in. Pics are from in the garage before splashdown this past spring.

Good to see ya roscoe!

Learned to barefoot back in 1968, just shy of my 12th birthday behind a 13 ft, 1962 Glassmaster runabout with a 45hp White Merc at 27mph. Used just a ski belt back then. Continued footing till my 60th birthday, then kind of packed it in. One hospital visit in all those years with ankle contusions during a deepwater start. Will I try again for my 70th birthday next year?......Doubtful, but never say never. There were no such things as barefoot booms, barefooting wetsuits, barefooting ropes or handles back in those days. My brother still has the Glassmaster, and it still runs too. Barefooting was considered a thrill sport back in the 60's, everyone would run down to the waterfront whenever I would foot.

John, on an unrelated note. We always used ski belts, mostly because jacket - style life preservers were not widely available, and the belts satisfied the regulation.

On one skiing trip about 50 years ago, a high school friend of mine, skied in her bright orange bikini, with it's 4 fabric pieces held together by 3 plastic hooks. Those kinds of swimsuits were in style for a while.

During one of her falls, the ring holding her top together broke. I immediately decided to invent the wet tee-shirt contest to contend with the current situation.
