I just finished putting on the Interprotect 2000 barrier coat on my 20 foot bayliner, it's the first time it's been painted and man is this a #####!
Anyway, the guy at the store pointed to the box and says "well it says 4-8 coats and at least 2 gallons" for a 20 foot boat.
Are they serious? After the 3 coats I just painted on (1 gallon + the quart of activator) there is no way I'm putting another 3 coats of barrier on.
When I'm done I'll have 3 coats of barrier and 3 coats of antifouling.... 2.5 gallons of paint on the bottom!!
Has anyone ever skimped on their recommendation?
