Another competitor was DQ'd for a similar violation yesterday. Alton Jones, who would have been in 2nd place, was DQ'd for having his son, a non competitor, look out for beds while he drove during practice. The DQ was based upon getting outside assistance(a non competitor).

Hey guys he broke the rules and I am sure he knew that it was illegal. Why not in practice, that is when you find the hot spots. You do not win looking on a fishing day.<br /><br />Penalty was a hand slap but should it be repeated then a more serious penalty will be in order for him or others..<br /><br />Cheating is cheating.

I'm fishing in my first tournament of the season this comming Sunday..... It's not for hugh money but I feel like it's the super bowl for me... 5 qualifiing tournaments, each with pretty good payouts and the fish-off at the end of the year for a new boat and other extra's... <br /><br />I'm nervous, and will be into it! Never had a hugh problem with rules or other competitors so far... Weighed in a slightly short fish once, but any short is too short, but smiled as I walked across the podium.... <br />I honestly said to myself at that time, "that sucks, and was stupid, but I had a good time"..<br /><br />That's fishing...
