Bass Tracker Quicksilver Controls

Hi all. Really need some quick responses here as I have to make a quick decision here. At the present time I have a 89 Bass Tracker tournament tx 17' bass boat with a blown 89 60hp outboard on it. What I want to do is buy this 1992 40hp merc force outboard and install it with the merc Quicksilver contols WILL THIS WORK. Will be looking at the merc force tomorrow and would like some input on this by tomorrow moring

sorry folks the outboard thats on it now is a 60hp merc

I'd shy away from the Force motor.Mercury dropped Force,and part availabilty is getting sparse.<br />DHP

not really had one before and actually was a nice motor to work on plenty of parts
