batteries

I have a 1978 140hp mercury I need to know wat is the best battery to use.It on a 19ft wellcraft with basic accessories.

That motor has a small charging system, say 9Amps (108 Watts). If your accessories draw less than that, a std 24 series battery will work fine. If you draw more than that, get a 27 series battery, and prepare to charge the battery after use.

Get the largest one you have space for. Never heard anyone complain about too much battery ...
