I recently read about the Battery MINDer which is a charger/desulphater which can restore a battery from the brink of death - guaranteed! Could there be any truth to this "smart" charger?
Also - when checking your battery's fluid level - how much distilled water should you add if you are low? I filled up an old battery fairly high (about 1/2 inch from top)and after attaching it to my 10amp charger - it started to leak out the top - is this normal or dangerous? What should I do next.

Hi

Yes, there are chargers that can reduce sulphation. They are not miracle workers, but they are a good charging method.

You over-filled it. Batteries have a level indicator built into each cell opening. Its a cylindrical tube protruding downwards with slots cut in the sides. The top of the slots are where the level should be maintained. Get a hydrometer (or old turkey baster) and remove the excess. Careful!! you are dealing with ACID! wear safety glasses and dispose of the excess into an old battery....

Can a low battery affect the oil injector/pump?

What experience has anyone had with the BatteryMINDer? Should one be used in addition to a regular charger or by itself?

The promotional material states that it can be used with more than one battery if connected in parallel. Does that mean that I could connect it to one of my batteries and have the master switch set to "Both" to do this?

Is it worth the $40.00?
