battery charging

this may be a stupid question but i am wondering if charging my cranking battery would harm the solid state electronics on my motor, its a dt30c; 1989 model. should i remove one or both battery cables before i charge the battery?
i just bought a new throttle sensor and dont want to trash it or any of the other parts. any thoughts or advice on this? thanks

I don't see why it would harm anything, but it is always good to disconnect all cables when charging ......
