battery equalizer? does it work?

i was thinking of trying battery equalizer in my battery.
any thoughts on it?

Hi Kevin
equalizing batterys is good to do every once in a while.
Be careful and disconnect batterys from the boat equipment because of high dc voltages during equalizing. some equipment could get damaged with the high voltage.

Are you talking about the liquid equalizer your pour into the battery? or a special charger? If it's the liquid I put some into my house batteries 2 years ago (group 27's) but I can't tell you much yet, I'm hoping to get 4 or 5 years out of them, normally only 3 before.

I was talking about the liquid equalizer.
i did not realize there was a special charger that worked on sulfation.

Do a google on battery sulfation or equalization, lots of info out there, here is just one example of a charger that has 4 modes of operation including equalization
