Hello everyone, hope your having a safe and happy summer
I have a 1989 120 hp johnson out board which dosnt seem to be charging the battery,,,,battery is new, replaced it last year, ( marine grade ) jump started the motor prior to putting it in the water,,,spent all day on the water ,voltmeter read 11 volts most of the time as i opened it up voltmeter would jump to 12.5 then at idle would come down to 11,,,turned boat off once for ten minutes and had to pop cover and pull start it,,when i parked it at the dock just prior to shutting down it read 11.5 at idle thats after 8 hours on the water,,,,,,any ideas???,,,,,
