Battery question:

This question probably takes the "DUH" cake for this week but:

I have a 98 Merc Sportjet 80HP OB as my primary power and am adding a 91 Suzuki 15 Hp ES 4 stroke on a Garlick motor lift to replace my old kicker. Both have alternators/chargers.

Am I ok connecting both motors to the same starting/charging battery or I do I need some
kind of isolator/protection widget?

Is there any danger of damaging anything having both connected? My power and electronics are on that same battery.

How about if I start and run BOTH motors at the same time?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: Battery question:

You can connect them to the same battery. Just make sure the battery connections are clean and wrench-tight. Even 1 or 2 running, I don't see any problems.
