I'm looking to purchase a Blue Sea Systems battery switch. I've seen/heard alot about the 9001e E-Series 1-both-2 switch. It advertises as a "make-before-break" switch.

Then I came across the M-series (mini) 1-both-2 switch of the same type, part number 6007. Does anyone know if this is also a make-before-break switch? It doesn't mention it.

Thanks,

I can't believe a switch maker would still build one that's not M-B-B but then one never knows. I suspect the difference is in the current carrying capacity. You might give the manufacturer a call.

They still build them. Remember even the best make before break will blow the alternator if you turn thru off with the motor running.
If your alternator has an external regular then get one that has the alternator field disconnect cicuit.
Most newer alternator have a internal regular.

For me I still perfer a simple battery isolator and no switch. I just belive Switches kill more alternator than anything else. Loose battery cable has the same effect to kill the Alternator. With a battery isolator have to have both batteries loose to kill the alternator.
