wow the VP pops a cap on an old lawyer and its news for weeks. a 14 year old gets beaten to death and Jeb Bush supports it and it makes no news.<br /> I guess they shoulda killed him with birdshot to the face.<br /> come on, where are all my conservative supporters here, well?

Didn't the autopsy say that he died LATER of sickle cell anemia?<br /><br />You don't get that from being beaten up.<br /><br />Like any eyewitness, a video is dead accurate and has perfect memory for what it sees and hears, but only for that.<br /><br />Too often people take that for all that happened. What happened that the camera neither saw nor heard?

dang I miss dogsdad and JB and all the rest of the Jeb Bush suppoerters on this one, here we have a fairly healty 14 yr old in boot camp for taking his granmas jeep joy riding yet not a peep other than spouting the party line of "died of sickle cell".<br /> total line o sheet, in my opinion, he was healthy when he checked in and a few weeks later, after a cold blooded beating by the jack boots, dead.<br /> how can ya blame sickle cell?<br /> sickle cell does not kill that quick. normally your sick for months before death. did they miss the fact he was sick?<br /> we are not talking about adults, were talking about a 14yr old that was beaten almost 30 min with a nurse watching that died.<br /> what if it was your kid ?<br /> what if it were your troubled 14 year old that just got beat to death by some jack boots ?<br /> I normally support cops, in this case the support is waning fast<br />seems there have been other instances with the same jack boots

Come on now, cops would never just beat a guy up like that for no reason. There must have been more to it than was on the video and that somehow, the kid probably had it coming, right? Besides, the autopsy is always an unbiased, un-corruptable source of information. No medical examiner would ever risk his credntials trying to cover up for the police, why, that's just crazy talk!<br /><br />Anyway, I just don't see how getting the crap beat out of you by multiple adlut males with heavy boots would relate in any way to turning up dead a short time later. That's just bleeding heart liberal spin there... Jeez!

First I've heard of it - Where's the link to the video? <br /><br />Life isn't an episode of Quincy - the cops generally don't know the Medical Examiners who conduct autopsies and vice versa. They're VAGUELY familiar with those who respond to death scenes and scoop up the bodies, but they're not the ones who do the autopsies. I'm not sure why it's so easy to conclude that they would be inclined to cover anyone's keaster.

You are off the truth in both directions, guys.<br /><br />Yes, he got beat up. Whether it was called for is irrelevant. Abuse of power is nothing new or acceptable. Those Deputys need serious punishment.<br /><br />He was not relatively healthy. He had sickle cell anemia, a deadly disease.<br /><br />The ONLY person qualified to declare cause of death is the Coroner, and he said SCA is what killed the boy. That is not murder.<br /><br />Jeez, isn't there anybody here who can look at both sides of a controversy??

Cops need to level the playing field...<br />They need ampped radios that shatter windows two blocks away when they get a call, a bucket of grenades in the trunk of their squad cars, and AK-47's with 1000 round ammo boxes. If some hoolio starts smack, give it back.<br />I just get tired of mutants being portrayed as victums. Granted, in some cases like this one perhaps (and no, i do not know a thing about this case, nor do i care),it may be "excessive force" -- as if the perpz don't use "exessive force...Chile, please

OK, so you've got an un-armed, captive teenager, allegedly in poor health due to ANEMIA of all things, and multiple adult cops kicking the crap of this kid are needed to "level the playing field"? Wow. I once saw the leo's put a paper bag on a kid's head when he spat on them....I thought that was an appropriate response....<br />I don't know what it takes to subdue a 14 year old whom I have not seen.....<br />The beating does matter.....<br />Was it ala Rodney King?<br />How many were involved?<br />Any links?<br />12, I feel for ya! The swamplands breed an ill sort of mutant....<br />Certain parts of Florida are downright scary & there are plenty of "citizens" who are "expendible"....IMHO....JK<br />However, beating an unarmed 14 year old to death is unacceptable for a leo.....

So let me get this straight, JB. You're saying that had the man that Cheney shot died of a heart attack because one of the pellets had lodged in his heart, Cheney shouldn't be held accountable? I mean afterall, it wasn't the gunshot that killed him, it was a heart attack.

The logic is the same in both cases JB. Your post said that it's not murder because "technically" the boy died of SSA. I guess what I wanna know is do you think the guards should be held accountable for the death of this kid even though it wasn't murder and he died of SSA?<br /><br />Conservatives take responsibility......lol......good one!
