Re: Bayliner 175

Well I got the new dials sent over from the States to Oz before Christmas and painted the dash as recommended. Now I just have to put it back later today.

I think the only concern I would have is that with new gauges sometimes you have to make an adjustment to the tach for the number of cylinders, everything else I think is the same....

Man, that looks great. Love the white guages... did you use an auto paint with hardener? If not, you may be doing this again, sooner than expected. If that's the case, next time you repaint, get a rattle can of auto paint with hardener already in it. don't know if you have NAPA in Australia, but that's not the only place you can find what I've suggested. If you have or have acces to a commercial paint sprayer, even better. Again, it looks great...

Well all works fine apart from the trim that is out of adjustment, it moves but only a quarter away from up when it is actually fully down, am I right in thinking you adjust this at the stern by losing the screws on the trim sender housing and twisting it.

Losing the screws will only cause more problems. You'll just have to replace them... Wait a minute, you meant loosen them... Seriously, though, I'm not sure about your trim sender unit. I would post that question in the I/O forum. You'll probably get faster responses and I don't think you'd be double posting.
