Bayliner Capri 1700LS Capacity???

Hi, I have a 1994 Bayliner Capri 1700LS with 120 Force Outboard.

What I'm wondering is if someone out there has the exact same boat and what your capacity plate reads (max. persons, weights, rated hp, etc.).

The previous owner apparently had removed it so I want to make a new one and but it on the boat. I've contacted Bayliner and they provided me a phone number of a company that apparently makes replacements but I can't get ahold of anyone there. I've read in previous posts of people making their own, laminating, and putting on their boat with no problems from the law.

360.435.8957 call that number and give them the hull id #, they should be able to tell you. is that the number you tried? they are very helpful there from what most others have found.

That's actually a different number than I called previously. I called and the rep was going to send me a certified letter as to the capacity plate information, just to keep on board. She then but me on hold and came back on the line and said that after 15 years, low and behold, they had 4 left on their shelf for my boat! Should be here this week.
