Bayliner Capri steering & throttle cable?

I have a Bayliner 1990 Capri 90 horse outboard Mariner 2 stroke 18 feet in length. My steering has been really hard so needing a steering cable and now the throttle control will only power forward even when in reverse so needing that as well.

Last few times I have gotten the wrong parts so what do I need to make sure I get the correct 2 cables?

Look on the cables if you can still see the print, it should say how long the cables are.

Another way you can do it if you can't see the print is to just tie a 1/4" nylon rope to the cable and pull it out.
Then you can measure your old cable and use the rope to guide the new cable back through.
