bayliner igniton fuse

bayliner 3.0 gm carb will idle and troll all day but at mid,full throttle every 5 minutes we fill slight miss moments later blown ignition fuse. Did the same thing two years on one day only and now shows back up but only worse

I assume this is a Merc. I bet the shift switch is bad.

Yea its a mercruiser and the ignition circiut consist of feed to gauges and gauge lights, then kill switch to shift switch to external coil then to ignition module and pickup coil under distributor cap, all factory nothing added.

any ideas about the ignition module????
