BBC exhaust manifolds

It's time to think about swapping out my exhaust risers again. I have a 7.4
Chevy with Volvo Marinization. While I admire the quality of the Volvo engineering, the Swedes are just a little too proud of thier spare parts and don't seem to support the big block nearly as well as the small block.

So... I am open to starting fresh with new manifolds. I'm leaning towards Crusaders. What do others think about Crusader parts, Barr, Osco, etc.

I favor robust construction, simplicity, and reasonably priced replacement consumables like risers etc. Opinions and advice appreciated.

Re: BBC exhaust manifolds

Want to check the SN? Way too many numbers in it.
Is it raw water cooled?

Re: BBC exhaust manifolds

Sorry about that, those are the numbers I copied off of the plastic shroud cover that fits over the Carb and are the only reference numbers I have here at the house. It is freshwater cooled, Holley 4011 carb, 8:1 compression.

I'm going to the boat today and will try to get more accurate numbers.

Re: BBC exhaust manifolds

So I went and checked the numbers again. The tag on the carb shroud says

engine bb740 a sw transom assembly

4100126015 reverse gear

868117 drive unit

So what opinions do folks have about swapping volvo manifolds and risers for Crusader parts or Barr or Osco?
