Re: Bearing failure :(

I have tried TCO and they did not have anything and Burnsville Salvage want $700-$900 and only have them in black.

Tim's Outboard Repair in Hackensack wins the trophy for service and price. I ordered it Monday am and I got it Tuesday am for $239 after tax and shipping!! I have to get a impeller and gaskets and I should be back on the water this weekend.

The only one that I could find was black. I had the chance tonight to strip it down and primer it. I will get some silver on it tonight with pics to follow. After that dries and I can get over to the Suzuki dealer for an impeller and gasket I should be good to go.

Got a new impeller and gasket but the dealer did not have the plate in stock and the replacement lower has a different plate. I was hoping for a splash this weekend but it will have to wait. I hate when a $7 piece holds a project from being finished.

Little update

I got all my parts and started to put everything back together. Ran into problems when themshift rod was moved out of position. Ended up sending over to the shop I have been working with and they got it fixed. Today I got some time to get some work done, intalled the new plate and impeller. Mounted it back on the motor and drilled and mounted the foil.

I am hoping to get the shift rod connected tomorrow. I will get some pictures loaded after it's all buttoned up.

Re: Bearing failure :(

OK a week later here are some pictures.

All primed

Cleaned housing, new plate and impeller.

All done

I also repainted the Prop and the hydrofoil. The drips under it are the mess from doing the floor resin. I am out $250 for parts and a used lower unit. Filled it with Amsoil Marine Gear lube and took it out tonight fishing. All we got where tiny Sunnies but it was a perfect day to be on the water. Hoping to get in a couple more trips before the snow gets her and I have to put her away.
