Bearing seal

I checked my bearings today and everything looks good so I don't need to replace them. Of course I need to replace my bearing seals but no one sells just the seals, only the whole bearing sets. Does anyone know where I can find bearing seals by them self to keep me from buying whole new bearings when I don't need them. Thanks.

Re: Bearing seal

Take the old seals to an auto parts store, they should be able to get you some, or go to a bearing and seal store. You can buy just the seals.

I found mine at Autozone.

Both are correct. You'll get your best deal at a bearing store but it's still half price at an auto parts store compared to a marine store.

Go to a bearing specialist outlet. You can get as much or as little as you need.

Re: Bearing seal

Thanks for the help. I went to 3 different auto part stores and ended up having to buy a full bearing set at a marine store. The marine store is the only place that had the right size and they don't sell bearing seals only. Very aggravating. I searched online for a bearing store in my area (Cleveland) but could not find one.

We have a plant in Cleveland. We buy bearings. I will find out where and post it for future reference.

Re: Bearing seal

i found that the marine ones have a double seal on them vs. the ones from NAPA, I think I also read that others on here found the same thing. so your probably better off this way anyways.
