So, this weekend, I went on a couple ventures for some oldies.....again.
I kinda dubbed the pair as "Beauty and the Beast" Looking at the pictures below, you can see what I mean. Sadly enough, the Lark didn't turn out to be as good as I liked, but there are a lot of good usable parts on it, to convert the Big Twin into an "electric model"
"The Beast" unfortunatly took a dive into the drink and everything inside of the crankcase is seized and full of rust.
Luckily though, there is a good starter, flywheel (with generator drive gear), carburetor (with electric choke) lower unit, and all the other bits and pieces I'll ever need. It even came with a shift box and cables and a wiring harness.
$80 investment
"Beauty".....well a pictures says a thousand words here. Probably one of the nicest looking unrestored classic I have found yet. It'll look even nicer, when I get it cleaned up. Once I go through the lower unit, carb and ignition system, this one will be a great runner. I got this one with a good 6 gallon pressure tank as well. For about 15 years now, I've been interested in finding one of these. Since I have the little blue '58 Fisherman, these two will look nice together on a 1957 FeatherCraft or Crestliner. $60 investment.
